INGREDIENTS NEEDED: 4 CHICKEN THIGHS/LEGS OR 2 BREASTS, RAW OR CAN USE 4 OUNCES OF COOKED CHICKEN, 1 - 15 OZ CAN OF TOMATO SAUCE, 1 - 16 OZ CAN BLACK BEANS.

DIRECTIONS: PLACE THE CHICKEN IN THE BOTTOM OF THE SLOW COOKER. POUR THE CAN OF BEANS AROUND THE CHICKEN. IN A BOWL, MIX 5 CUPS WATER, SOUP MIX AND THE TOMATO SAUCE THEN POUR OVER THE CHICKEN. COVER AND COOK ON HIGH 7-8 HOURS. TAKE CHICKEN OUT, IF USING CHICKEN PIECES SHRED AND PUT BACK INTO THE SOUP. CAN BE SERVED WITH SHREDDED CHEESE OR TORTILLA CHIPS ON TOP.

INGREDIENTS: DRIED CORN, DRIED ONIONS, DRIED BELL PEPPERS, DRIED JALAPENO PEPPERS, CORN STARCH, SALT, CUMIN, GARLIC AND CHILI POWDER (CHILI PEPPER, CUMIN, SALT, OREGANO, NATURAL FLAVORS, PEPPER, LESS THAN 2% SILICON DIOXIDE ADDED TO PREVENT CAKING).

    Discovers this mix at a country store. Made it according to the directions with chicken breasts, which I shredded and then cooked a little longer. Served with sour cream, scallions, shredded cheddar cheese and tortilla chips on top. This rivaled any tortilla soup I've had in restaurants! Delicious!
