Holiday Treats with Rabbit Creek

Posted by

This is the kitchen’s busiest time of year in my house. In these few winter months, I find myself baking treats, cooking side dishes, and plating meals more than any other time of the year. The holidays are a bustling time of year and a good portion of that busy schedule revolves around food; We make grocery lists, run to the market, prep meals, bake desserts, and, oh, the dishes we wash! All this energy spent on food is worth it. But, can we make a few shortcuts? Can we spend a little less time stressing on food prep and more on enjoying that food with family and friends?

We think it’s possible - and worthwhile. That’s why we offer high quality, delicious mixes. We help you make tasty treats for your holiday parties with less effort. Our goal is to help you enjoy your holiday season. That’s why we’re sharing some simple tips for making fast and yummy foods to bring to your holiday gatherings.

  1. What’s better than a loaf of warm, homemade bread? In my book, the only thing that beats that is a loaf of warm, homemade bread that’s made with beer and takes only 5 minutes to prepare and 45 hands-off minutes in the oven! Our beer bread mix is so easy that you might not believe how good it tastes. Donna shows us how easy it is to whip up this flavorful, moist beer bread in the video below. embed this:
  2. Are you in charge of the veggie tray for your holiday party at work? It’s so easy to stop at the grocery store and pick up a prepackaged tray filled with a creamy dip and precut carrots, peppers and broccoli. How many times have you seen this same, plain combo? In all your years of holiday, family and charity parties, you’ve probably passed by this same tray countless times. With a little effort, you can change up the veggie tray game this year. Impress friends and colleagues alike with a meat, veggie and dip tray that they haven’t seen before. Here’s our favorite combination for a wintry get-together:

3. How many times have you gone to a party, checked out the food options and filled your plate, only to realize that you were full already? If this tends to happen to you, you might need to have a lighter dinner before your holiday parties. Make quick and easy dinners for busy nights during this holiday season. Our soup mixes are healthy, simple, and filling. You can have fun mixing in leftover veggies, meats and toppings.
