Grayson’s French Onion Soup

Grayson’s French Onion Soup Recipe


3 large yellow onions, sliced thin

¼ c butter

1 T flour

6 cubes or 6 tsp beef bouillon

6 c water

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Salt & Pepper to taste

4-6 slices French bread, toasted

Grated Parmesan cheese


  1. In a large saucepan, cook onions in butter on low until golden, at least 20 min. 
  1. Stir in flour, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Cook 1-2 min. 
  1. Add bouillon and water.  Simmer covered, 20-25 minutes.
  1. To serve, top each serving with a slice of toasted French break and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.  Place under broiler until cheese is bubbly.
