Smokey Ham and Bean Soup

Smokey Ham and Bean Soup Recipe


1 large onion, chopped

4 large carrots, chopped

2 stalks celery, chopped

14 ounce can diced tomatoes

6 ounce can tomato paste

2 teaspoons chili powder

2 teaspoons dried parsley

2 tablespoons lemon juice

2 teaspoons liquid smoke flavoring

2 cups cubed ham

6 cups broth, (chicken, ham or vegetable)

3 - 15 ounce cans of pinto beans


Put all ingredients (except beans) in a large crockpot.

Cook on low for 8-10 hours.

Add beans during end of cooking period to heat through.

Garnish with fresh grated parmesan cheese.
